We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable HR Generalist to join our Human Resources department at Workshop/APD. This role will support the day-to-day HR operations and foster a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will collaborate across teams to manage recruitment efforts, employee onboarding and offboarding, and cultural engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in recruitment, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for creating an engaging employee experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Assist with the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Maintain and track application statuses through Greenhouse ATS to ensure timely updates.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience by managing professional and timely communication with candidates, headhunters, and hiring managers.
- Build and establish relationships with hiring managers and external recruiting partners to streamline the recruitment process.
- Support HR Manager with Internship program and be the main point of contact for interns.
- Assist with new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, and onboarding processes, including coordinating New Hire Orientation with the HR Manager.
- Support offboarding processes, ensuring proper documentation and updates are completed with a sense of urgency and in a confidential manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 HR and administrative inquiries, related to employees' benefits, office perks, HR policies, and other services and programs available to them.
- Collect and input data accurately for new hires, terminations, and other employee changes using Rippling PEO.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
- Provide support with additional ad hoc duties and HR-related projects as required.
- Develop and Implement programs that promote company values and enhance employee engagement, including managing the company's health and wellness program.
- Collaborate with HR Manager to drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and support a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

- Proficient or be able to quickly learn HR-related systems, such as Greenhouse, Rippling, Leapsome or other related software.
- Familiar with basic employment and labor laws.
- Honest, responsible and maintains high integrity.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of HR experience with a focus or strong interest in recruitment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, or related software.
- Comfortable and thrives in a high energy fast paced environment.
- Event Planning experience is a plus.
