Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of administrative assistant experience (preferably in an educational setting)
- Excellent writing, synthesizing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Exceptional judgment and ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on several different tasks as well as the ability to focus on repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Prior experience in Finance, Law, or Municipal Government welcomed
- Proficiency with multiple technology platforms
Performance Responsibilities
- Joining the Central Administration team is an integral part of improving outcomes for students.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all levels and uses discretion in external and internal communications.
- Supports members of the Medford School Committee, attends school committee meetings and prepares meeting minutes in a timely manner in collaboration with the Lead Executive Assistant.
- In the absence of the Lead Executive Assistant, prepares the School Committee agenda, informational packets and documentation (presentations and reports).
- Supports the Director of Finance and the Assistant Superintendent for Enrichment and Innovation
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by Central Administration.
