Responsibilities
Summary:
Provides executive level administrative support to multiple executives at General Dynamics Corporate Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
* Provides backup to the assistant of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
* Manages and coordinates schedules, calendars, meetings and conference calls.
* Coordinates travel arrangements and processes expense reports.
* Answers telephones and provides executive support, including mail, filing, records retention, and greeting visitors, presenting a positive impression of the organization to all individuals.
* Compiles correspondence, memos, letters; edits materials for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and format.
* Assists in department projects (business conference preparation, meeting arrangements).
* Designs and creates slides and charts in PowerPoint; creates spreadsheets in Excel for presentations.
* Interfaces effectively with external and internal corporate clients.
* Perform complex duties that require a thorough knowledge of GD administrative policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Training Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to sufficiently perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience Requirements:
Between 5 and 10 years of C-suite experience providing administrative support to executive level position required.
Other Requirements:
* Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated track record of excellent team skills.
* Must be able to work with little direction, set priorities, handle multiple tasks and exercise professional judgment and discretion in executing tasks.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Demonstrated ability to perform duties and exhibit excellent record of attendance.
* Must be fully proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, experience with Concur highly preferred.
* Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date unless medical or religious exceptions apply.
* U.S. Persons status required.
* Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
