About the Role:

We are seeking a Waste Treatment Operator to join our team in Summit Interconnect, SC. As a Waste Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our waste treatment plant. Your main goal will be to ensure that all hazardous materials are properly treated and disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations. You will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the water treatment plant, including conducting visual inspections, testing water chemistry, and operating pumps and other equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in waste treatment or related field
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and environmental regulations
  • Ability to operate and maintain pumps and other equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field
  • Experience working in a water treatment plant
  • Certification as a Waste Treatment Operator
  • Experience with PLC and SCADA systems

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the waste treatment plant in compliance with environmental regulations
  • Conduct visual inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues
  • Test water chemistry to ensure proper treatment of hazardous materials
  • Operate pumps and other equipment to maintain proper flow and pressure
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations and environmental compliance

Skills:

As a Waste Treatment Operator, you will use your knowledge of hazardous materials, waste treatment, and environmental compliance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our waste treatment plant. You will also use your skills in water treatment, plant operations, and visual inspection to monitor and maintain the water treatment plant. Additionally, you will use your ability to operate pumps and other equipment to maintain proper flow and pressure. Your strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will be essential in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining the safety of our team and the community.
