Job Description
We are searching for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the franchise service industry located in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28202, United States. In this role, you will be working closely with a team of accounting professionals and utilizing your skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Auditing, and Billing Functions. You will be instrumental in bringing consolidated systems to our accounting tasks. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Franchise experience or subscription model industry preferred. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable and auditing.
• Implement and streamline automated accounting systems and processes.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Oversee the reconciliation and adjustment of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting practices.
• Manage the billing function, ensuring all bills are dispatched accurately and timely.
• Analyze and review fiscal performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage and track accounting tasks and procedures.
• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the account reconciliation process.
• Provide support and guidance to the accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Automotive industry• Proficiency in managing all accounting functions
• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven experience in auditing and balance sheet account reconciliation
• Familiarity with billing functions
• Sound knowledge and experience in automation of accounting processes
• Skilled at account reconciliation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required; advanced degree or detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong analytical abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as other accounting software programs.
