Overview:
Flat Fee Landlord, a leader in residential property management and leasing, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting and developing accounting systems and processes tailored to our specific operational needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee the companys accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements including profit and loss, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems and processes using QuickBooks and Appfolio, ensuring they meet our operational needs.
- Manage property-level accounting for the homes we manage; as well as, our corporate books ensuring compliance with the NARPM chart of accounts.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and manage budgeting and cost control measures.
- Transition accounting services from third-party providers to an in-house structure, ensuring a smooth and effective transfer.
- Conduct audits and regular checks to safeguard the companys assets and ensure financial procedures are strictly followed.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with significant expertise in residential property management.
- Proven track record of setting up and managing accounting systems, with specific experience in QuickBooks and Appfolio required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create effective financial processes and systems from scratch.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of operating independently and establishing a new department.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range of $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
