Job Summary:
Assist grant accountants and managers in the administration of federal, state, and private sponsored awards. This will include assisting in Invoicing, preparation of financial reconciling documents, and gathering documentation. Assisting in the monthly review of financial reports and monitoring of outstanding receivables. Assisting in communications with outside sponsors and college research offices, and faculty to assure the completeness of documents.
Ability to lift 15 pounds and prolonged keyboard activity.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Two years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
Post-secondary educations may substitute for years of required experience.
Personal computer skills and experience with software application such as Excel, Word, Power Point; familiar with Internet and HTML.
Ability to "think through" problems or analyze problems and formulate solutions before going to the supervisor.
Self-starter in approach to work; reaches for more responsibility and knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and speaking.
Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures; ability to maintain accurate accounting records
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Six months to two years of grant experience.
Sponsored program/Grant experience.
