Job Summary:
Inspect hotel rooms, public area and linen room to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness and organization. Schedule employees. Schedule preventive maintenance & deep cleaning for hotel rooms. Monitor inventories & order when necessary. Keep track of all payables for the housekeeping department. Support all hotel employees to help ensure guest satisfaction. Conduct laboratory teaching opportunities in housekeeping for Hotel and Tourism Management students. Daily contact with faculty, staff, students, OSU dignitaries, hotel guests, alums and donors.
Able to lift 50lb.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
One year of related experience.
*Ability to interact with faculty, staff, students and hotel guests while exhibiting a service quality attitude in a professional manner
*Ability to exhibit tactfulness, friendliness with a cooperative attitude in working with individuals
*Ability to handle, comprehend, analyze and solve potential problems or situations in an expedient and effective way to forestall any possible complications
*Technical proficiency in microcomputer (word and excel preferred)
*Ability to organize and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience in a lead housekeeping role.
