Our estate planning law firm is looking for someone who shares our firm's purpose of helping families plan for their future through wills, trusts and other legal instruments. We need someone who is friendly, organized and who can assist our clients with the process of coordinating their assets into their trust. No worries, we will train you and you won't be left to "figure it out" on your own! You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents and handle office correspondence including answering phone calls/texts and emails. Ultimately, you will work with our team and have clients who you will develop a relationship with as you aid them with their legal and personal needs. The position is purposeful work as we help clients prepare for their future. It is a relational position too, as you get to know our teammates, clients, and their families. We host an awesome Christmas Party and Wine Tasting too. If you like people, this job will fill your bucket! Responsibilities: • Assist clients with the process of transferring their assets into their trust • Meet with clients and facilitate the signing and notarization of their estate planning documents • Maintain electronic and hard files, and scanning documents to their file • Manage and update client profiles • Schedule appointments, send reminders, and timely responses to phone calls, emails, texts, and voicemail from clients • Draft funding documents in Hot Docs drafting software • Learn and utilize new technology, including artificial intelligence • Communicate with potential clients who call or request firm information • Maintain confidentiality • Attend firm client and team events • Full-time, in-office (no remote work) Qualifications: • Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant • High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is a plus • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly
