Growing law firm located in the loop is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join a dynamic group. The ideal candidate should have previous experience as a Legal Secretary and should possess a strong foundation in litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and formatting litigation documents.
- Managing all aspects of the litigation process from initiation to completion.
- Organizing case files and preparing case exhibits.
- Coordinating with attorneys to ensure smooth progress of cases.
- Assisting with legal research as needed.
- Managing schedules, including trial dates and hearings.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Assisting lawyers with court filings, document preparation, and case management.
- Ensuring all court documents are in order and prepared for review.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in Litigation.
- In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and e-filing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), e-filing and records management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
