ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a "systems engineering and technical assistance" advisor, you will provide support to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. Position Responsibilities:
- Information Security and Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough security and privacy risk assessments to evaluate organizational vulnerabilities.
- Perform testing to identify, document, test, and validate security and usability issues.
- Leadership and Policy Development:
- Serve as the security lead to oversee and guide cybersecurity initiatives.
- Draft, review, and implement security policy documentation to support organizational compliance and best practices.
- Provide strategic advice to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on the development and growth of the organization's digital forensics capabilities.
- Digital Forensics and Incident Response:
- Lead digital forensic investigations into suspected or confirmed cybersecurity incidents.
- Analyze digital media, including desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices, to uncover evidence and provide actionable intelligence.
- Produce and present detailed analytical reports summarizing investigation outcomes.
- Cybersecurity Program Support:
- Lead and coordinate technical projects within the federal government framework.
- Support initiatives related to incident response, insider threat management, vulnerability management, and authorization processes within the risk management framework.
- Collaborate with teams to implement security automation and cyber threat intelligence initiatives.
- Cloud Security and Migration:
- Provide expertise in cloud security practices, migration strategies, and risk management related to cloud-based systems.
General Description of Benefits
- Master's in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in conducting digital forensics investigations on various digital media.
- Hands-on experience with security automation tools and cyber threat intelligence solutions.
- Expertise in establishing and managing technical projects within federal government environments
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
