$20.80-$25.27/hour - Placement in the range will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Manger is responsible for the supervision of the Project Leader, of full time and part time Community Services staff, which include Site- Based and Community Based Prevocational Services.

COMPANY STANDARDS

  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to ensure, supervise and provide quality services to individuals served and to act as a positive role model for employees. This position performs all hours onsite and at all assigned physical locations of service, unless exceptions are determined based on business needs and approved.
  • Follows and ensures that employees follow all safety rules and regulations, including wearing/using required personal protective equipment while working. Immediately addresses and reports any safety concerns or unsafe working conditions to the Senior VP of Services.
  • Ensures and conducts all aspects of position and direct support to individuals served in compliance with the JM Murray mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, regulations, rules and standards.
  • Demonstrates both personal accountability and the development of confidence and accountability of employees, to ensure that day to day issues and concerns are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Coordinates and maintains workload and work assignments for employees, ensuring that program and individual needs are covered on a daily basis. and in providing assistance when unexpected needs occur.
  2. Provides and documents Community Services in order to ensure individuals are served as scheduled, based on staffing and responding to schedule issues.
  3. Conduct required assessments, meetings, etc. that are required by regulation for individuals services in any Prevocational Service.
  4. As assigned by the Senior VP of Services, attends life plan and other meetings for individuals served. Follows up on and completes all assigned and required documentation regarding Prevocational Services provided to each individual, as required by meeting outcomes.
  5. As assigned by the Senior VP of Services, completes and updates staff action plans in order to remain in compliance with OPWDD Services regulations.
  6. In conjunction with the Senior VP of Services, communicates with participants, families and providers of individuals served on a timely and ongoing basis to ensure effective and quality service delivery.
  7. Ensures accurate and complete records of time and services through the JM Murray Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and through the efficient use of equipment such as a computer, laptop, and/or a tablet. This includes ensuring that all employees complete documentation within the assigned timeframe for billing purposes, and that all required documentation is uploaded to the EMR.
  8. As assigned by the Senior VP of Services, promptly follows up on and implements recommendations and procedures as a result of investigation recommendations.
  9. Ensure that any company vehicles used for service delivery are maintained including keeping them clean inside and free of debris, have gas in them, and first aid kits are on hand and stocked. Immediately reports any mechanical, safety or other needs for repair and maintenance. Ensures staff who use their personal vehicles for service delivery are maintaining them, and that they are clean and free of excess debris.
  10. Reviews and approves timecards for assigned employees according to the JMM payroll schedule and JM Murray policies and procedures.
  11. Assists with hiring of staff necessary to provide services. Provides feedback to Senior VP of Services with regard to employees who require supervisory or disciplinary actions and/or terminations.
  12. Provides ongoing feedback, coaching and supervision to employees with regard to job performance and service delivery. Completes performance reviews for assigned employees in a timely manner, according to established review schedules.
  13. Ensures staff receive comprehensive training on job duties, as they relate to all Prevocational Services. Ensures staff are scheduled for required training, and that they complete and maintain all required training and certifications.
  14. Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate records and service operations including but not limited to filing, copying, computer entry, organizing and ordering supplies, etc.
  15. Attends all required trainings and meetings.
  16. Assists the Services Leadership with program development and service expansion. Assists the Senior VP of Services by participating in the annual budget process for Vocational Services
  17. Conducts self in a manner as to always contribute to maximum individual growth and in accordance with all regulations, the Code of Ethics and Company policy and procedures. Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with respect and dignity.
  18. Perform additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Associates degree preferred; High school diploma and significant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

2-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred; at least one year coordinating and scheduling work tasks.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Efficient use of technology and software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Databases

Highly organized, attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Flexibility to adjust to changes in schedules, assignments and needs of individuals served

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Requires a valid NYS Driver’s License that meets Company standards; requires proof of NYS

insurance coverage.

Requires clearance through a Background Check process that will include, but is not limited to,

clearance through the NYS Justice Center, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities

(OPWDD), the NYS Office of Child and Family Services, and the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job assignments may take place indoors and outdoors and require travel to various community locations, in various environmental conditions including rain, snow and cold weather.
