Job Title: Production Shift Lead
Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire
Shift: Evenings 7pm to 7am Thursday through Saturday and every other Sunday
Pay: Starting at $24/hr

Summary:
The Production Shift Lead is responsible for the efficient operation of the production process from raw materials to finished product; assisting in troubleshooting to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily shift meetings to assign tasks, review shift performance, communicate production plan and conduct required training
- Understand production schedule to ensure efficient and effective labor management;
- Assist Operations Manager and Plant Manager in managing, motivating, training and coordinating staff to meet productivity, quality and food safety requirements.
- Thorough understanding of job positions on team to be able to cover and maintain productivity as well as employee accountability.
- Adhere to fire extinguisher (ABC/K) and fire suppression system safety training and procedures
- Prepare for startup and/or shut down of kettles
- Operate kettles by monitoring the frying processes and producing a quality finished product in a fast-paced environment under constant pressure of the kettle production
- Coordinate kettle operations with the prep room and packing room
- Inspect and handle raw product to sort, peel, inspect for defects and foreign material, and keep kettles supplied
- Use skid loader/bobcat to unload and move raw potatoes based upon the production schedule and/or needs of the kettle
- Understand the conveyor system and all powered equipment used to move raw material n- safely turn on/turn off and make adjustments to the system as needed Understand production schedule to set up packing machines and meet the designated production schedule
- Responsible for the efficient operation of the packaging machines ensuring proper weight, appropriate seasoning, appropriate product, splicing of film, sealing, and date code of finished product
Comprehensive Expectations:
- Adhere to all current GMP’s, food safety requirements and company policies
- Oversee quality and food safety of finished material through the production process from raw material to finished goods and in preparation for shipping
- Ensure all waste from all areas of the plant is removed as needed throughout the day and all waste containers and bins are emptied for incoming shift
- Document and log all required information accurately and timely
- Alert management of any problems found during packing inspections, monitor equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance and management
- Use material handling equipment as necessary and trained including but not limited to stretch wrapper, pallet jack, forklift and loader
- Comfortable working in high paced, wet, oily and noisy environment
