Production Coordinator
Hours:         1st Shift
Status:       Exempt

Position Description:
This role involves planning, scheduling, and preparing production order details for the manufacturing of industrial silos and/or portable service and septic trucks. The individual will be tasked with creating work orders for our shop that align with designer-generated prints. Additionally, some collaboration with the Purchasing department to optimize materials will be necessary

Responsibilities:
Review and Familiarization with Project Documentation: Thoroughly examine all relevant drawings/ prints, specifications, and project documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and requirements. This includes identifying critical design elements, compliance standards, and any potential challenges that may arise during production.
Assessment of Material Requirements and Inventory Status: Analyze project specifications to determine the necessary materials and components required for production. Conduct regular inventory checks to assess the availability of parts, ensuring that all materials are in stock and ready for use. Collaborate with the Purchasing department to address any shortages or delays in material procurement.
Development and Review of Manufacturing Procedures: Draft, revise, and finalize manufacturing procedures and related documentation to ensure clarity and compliance with industry standards. This includes outlining step-by-step processes, safety protocols, and quality control measures. Engage with team members to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Support for Additional Projects: Aid on various projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to team goals. This may involve taking on specific tasks, collaborating with different departments, or stepping in to help troubleshoot issues that arise during production.

Requirements:
  • Associates degree in a manufacturing discipline preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience, preferably in design drafting, production planning, or assembly work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to write manufacturing procedures with clarity and detail for shop use.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, is highly organized, and is a proactive self-starter.
  • Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Able to collaborate in a team setting as well as work independently.
