Coordinates the operations of all production departments in the unit. Ensures that production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction. Reports issues regarding production, quality, maintenance, or personnel problems.
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages a production area to meet production schedules, quality, and cost objectives through subordinate team leader staff. Develops manpower requirements for assigned areas. Responsible for the direction and leadership of the production operations. Identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as quality assurance, safety, and training.

Requirements:
- Ensure team is adhering to safety policies while continuously pushing safety as a top priority throughout the Plant
- Identifies and communicates safety issues that impacts the Company
- Complies with establishes safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and implement the Company's safety policies
- Maintain production objectives to meet customer demand while balancing production costs.
- Evaluate various areas of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
- Recognize and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the operations
- Provides communication and dissemination of information amongst employees
- Cooperate with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship always exists
- Oversee and coach employees
- Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
- Reviews the performance and personal development of all employees
- Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence with employees
- Supports and sustain a culture of continuous improvement (CI) across all areas of the Plant.
