We are seeking a Customer Service Representative based in Chicago, Illinois, to join our team in a long-term contract role. In this position, you will primarily handle customer inquiries, maintain relationships with both internal and external customers, and serve as a vital liaison between various departments to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Taking on the role of liaison between customer service and other departments to effectively address customer needs.
• Promptly and accurately processing customer orders.
• Managing customer inquiries from distributors, end-users, and manufacturer’s reps, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Maintaining exceptional service while fostering relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Investigating customer problems or complaints and finding successful resolutions.
• Expediently handling order requirements as needed.
• Functioning efficiently within a team environment to meet business objectives.
• Undertaking additional duties as assigned by the management.
• Using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email correspondence to manage tasks and communicate effectively.
• Balancing inbound and outbound calls while maintaining a high level of customer service.

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent telecommunication skills.

• Prior experience in a call center customer service role.

• Demonstrable expertise in customer service, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Competency in email correspondence, ensuring detail oriented and timely communication.

• Familiarity with both inbound and outbound calls, managing high call volumes effectively.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for document creation and editing.

• Experience in order entry, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders.

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively, managing multiple calendars if necessary.

• Familiarity with Sage X3 software, with a focus on its application in customer service scenarios.


The salary range for this position is $20 to $22/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
