Full Time Shift Day Work Schedule Summary M-F TBD VP Area Academic Affairs Department 00121 - Chemistry Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $35,000-$53,624 Close Date Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary Provides administrative support for the chemistry advancement and grad recruiting offices under the supervision of the Advancement director. Responsibilities Assists with grad program planning and implementation including admissions and recruitment. Corresponds with potential students and processes student travel (in Concur) for recruiting visits. Processes grad student awards/scholarships through the ePR, payroll, and scholarship systems. Tracks and processes EDGE grad student award funds. Coordinates special event activities such as student visits, recruiting conferences, alumni seminars, and donor recognition banquets. Compiles, sorts, and organizes confidential data in the student and donor databases. Assists with the preparation/distribution of promotional materials, letters, and brochures. Web content editing, integration of video and photos, and other website-related projects, including all social media channels Department newsletter and magazine content and editing Updates donor mailing lists, maintains files, and organizes details supporting named events. Reconciles and compiles P-card receipts/reports for grad recruiting and advancement. Uses Ushop to place supply orders and other purchases. Assists in the creation and distribution of program materials, forms, and general correspondence. May track/report on current trends to determine future recruiting and advancement needs. Ad hoc reporting and duties as assigned. Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required Nearly Continuously: Office environment. Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). One year of related experience and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience in different styles of writing, publishing software packages and advertising concepts may be preferred. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Expertise using MS Office software. Database experience preferred.
