Role Description:
This position is responsible for application of the critical skills and knowledge of general manufacturing and manufacturing engineering. This position will be hands on, they will support both engineering and production teams. This position has responsibility over the Globe Tech LLC, Plymouth, MI operations.

- Under supervision develops manufacturing methods and processes. Investigates and troubleshoots manufacturing problems. Creates drawings and designs for special machines and fixtures to support launch and production.
- Verifies Engineering designs and drawings to ensure manufacturability.
- Investigates, establishes, and implements requirements for equipment, tooling, materials, or methods of manufacturing
- Create and maintain work instructions for operators to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Prepares the necessary details so a make versus buy decision can be made for operations
- Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards
- Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.
- Helps plan, design, and detail floor layouts for efficient production
- Responsible for the coordination of assigned projects from concept through final implementation. Assembles timelines and coordinates required activities to bring assigned projects to successful completion within timing and budget targets
- Informs management on progress through formal project updates and formulate recovery plans to accommodate changes to timing or project scope

- CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic office equipment.
- Understanding of ERP systems

- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
