Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer III to develop and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Experienced individual, skilled in precision sheet metal fabrication
+ Designing and optimizing sheet metal fabrication processes to achieve superior precision and product quality
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, production, and quality control.
+ Developing and implementing innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs
+ Conducting thorough analyses of sheet metal designs, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to enhance manufacturability
+ Leading continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase throughput, and maintain a competitive edge in the industryDevelop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
+ Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvement
+ Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management
+ Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members
+ Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
+ Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results
+ Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas
+ Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
+ Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunities
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ 5+ years experience in a precision sheet metal fabrication environment
+ Capable of reading and understanding blueprint drawings
+ Handles fast-paced work environment
+ Proven experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing, including deep knowledge of forming, punching, cutting, bending, and welding processes
+ CNC programming of flat blanks in punch, laser, and combo machines
+ Skilled in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) for designing and simulating sheet metal components and processes
+ Skilled in ERP systems and building process routings and bill of materials
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges
+ Familiar with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
EDUCATION
+ Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
