Dental One Associates is hiring a full-time Dental Hygienist for our office located in Columbia, MD 21044.  This is a full-time position, Mon-Thu (8-5) and Fri (8-3).

At Dental One Associates, we understand the importance of keeping up with the latest technology, for both our patients and our staff. We're currently utilizing 3d cone beam, Itero scanner, digital x-rays, Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) and Overjet AI.

If you're a hygienist who is dedicated to providing your patients with top notch quality care, then we'd love to have you on our team!  Previous experience is always nice, but we also welcome new hygiene grads to apply as well.  Must have an active hygiene license for the state of Maryland.  New grads must be applying for license soon.

Our office is located in downtown Columbia, 1 block from the mall and Merriweather Post Pavilion. We have lots of free parking and we're on a Howard County bus line as well.  

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
