Position Summary:
The RN/LPN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and supporting the healthcare team in various capacities. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
For Registered Nurse (RN):
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
- Provide patient education on health management, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and follow up on care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in nursing care.
For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Assist with patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician or RN.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with dressing changes.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens.
- Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in nursing care.
Qualifications:
For Registered Nurse (RN):
- Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR and BLS certification required.
For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Current LPN license in the state of Kansas.
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and EHR systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- CPR certification required.
