Job Title: RN Neuro ICU

Location: Dallas, Texas

Work Schedule:

  • Shift: 12-hour nights
  • Days Per Week: 3
  • Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift Start Time: 07:00 PM
  • Shift End Time: 07:00 AM

Available Shifts:

  • Nights (Rotating Weekends): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Compensation:

  • Minimum Rate Per Hour: $32
  • Maximum Rate Per Hour: $53

Job Summary:

Join a dedicated and innovative team as a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) and be part of a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where your skills and expertise will make a significant impact. You will work with non-trauma neurosurgical patients, stroke victims, and those undergoing specialized spine and neurovascular surgeries. This position offers the opportunity to grow your knowledge base while working closely with an engaged leadership team that supports learning, mentoring, and professional development.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to neuro ICU patients, including those recovering from surgeries, stroke, and seizures.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with complex conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educators, to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in the unit-based practice council and contribute to shared governance efforts to improve patient outcomes and nursing practices.
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 to ensure focused and personalized care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas or ability to obtain licensure prior to start.:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Neuro ICU Unit Highlights:

  • Patient Population: Non-trauma neurosurgical patients, strokes, specialized spine, neurovascular surgeries, and seizures.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2.
  • Department Specifics: 15 beds, Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility, onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educator. Strong leadership team with an "all hands-on deck" approach.
