Primary Objective of Position
General maintenance will repair and maintain machinery and forklifts, clean and change filters, check chiller water levels and chiller status on four different systems, check compressors, wash machinery, weld and fabricate projects, change bulbs and ballasts in office, shovel snow, and general maintenance on Intek machinery in a safe manner.

Physical Requirements
Primary Objective of Position
General maintenance will repair and maintain machinery and forklifts, clean and change filters, check chiller water levels and chiller status on four different systems, check compressors, wash machinery, weld and fabricate projects, change bulbs and ballasts in office, shovel snow, and general maintenance on Intek machinery in a safe manner.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Follow all work and safety rules
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical repair on machinery
- Repair and maintain forklifts and pallet trucks
- Maintain water levels in 10 water tanks and check chiller status
- Maintain oil levels in compressors and oil temp controllers
- Wash and clean machinery and water tanks
- Weld and fabricate machinery, gates, guards, etc.
- Do electrical wiring on building and machinery to meet all national electrical codes
- Change bulbs and ballasts'
- Move furniture and file cabinets for office
- Maintain exterior surfaces (shovel, sand, etc.)
- Clean water filters and air filters
- Do preventative maintenance on all machinery and keep records
- Repair, make and troubleshoot thermocouples
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Operate a variety of shop equipment, welder, torch, band saw, etc.
- Track and record daily activities and part usage as needed in ERP system
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- 1-2 year technical degree with concentration in the following or equivalent:
- Electrical
- Machine Shop
- Hydraulics
- Water Treatment Systems
- Power Transmission
- Or equivalent prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints
- Know, and understand basic operation of extrusion related equipment preferred
- Experience with forklift and scissors lift operation
- Ability to maintain forklift and/or scissors certification
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge in plumbing and mechanical concepts

No supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift (weekly) up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist and carry tools or materials over the course of 8 - 12 hour shift; while supporting 24-hour/5-day per week plant operations.
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Acceptable history of attendance and performance.
