Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Description
Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the production team in a cabinet manufacturing facility. This role ensures a safe, productive, and high-quality environment that aligns with company goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The Supervisor provides guidance, support, and leadership to their assigned team, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety:
o Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
o Conduct safety training and monitor team performance for adherence to safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Investigate and report on any safety incidents and take corrective actions.
Quality:
o Ensure that all products meet established quality standards.
o Collaborate with quality control teams to address defects and implement corrective actions.
o Conduct regular audits and reviews to monitor product quality and identify areas for improvement.
Delivery:
o Plan and prioritize to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize efficiency.
o Monitor delivery KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and adjust resources as necessary to meet delivery targets.
o Ensure machines and equipment are maintained and running efficiently.
Cost:
o Monitor and control labor, material, and overhead costs to meet budget objectives.
o Implement cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies without compromising quality or safety.
o Collaborate with other departments to manage inventory and minimize waste.
Leadership:
Provide strong leadership and foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and development plans for team members.
Lead daily production meetings and communicate key information to the team.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in cabinet or wood product manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and production processes.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs may be required.
