JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for building effective, authentic rapport with children, parents, volunteers and staff.
- Ensuring a well-organized and enjoyable party by completing pre-party preparations which includes notifying supervisor if party supplies are low.
- Providing exceptional service during the party; serving food and refreshments, escorting the party to their next destination and assisting parents to their vehicle with the gifts.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of Birthday Party attendees by following and enforcing all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
- Being knowledgeable and prepared to implement emergency procedures.
- Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form as required and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
- Submitting completed records on time (i.e. attendance, behavior issues, etc.).
- Completing party cleaning duties and additional as deemed necessary; reporting any facility or equipment irregularities, unsafe conditions or feedback to supervisor in writing.
- Conveying information on Y programs and schedules and as appropriate; referring children and parents to other programs.
- Gathering feedback from members and share with supervisor to improve service.
- Attending all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
- Maintaining prompt hours and follow established procedures for absences.
- Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- Relevant experience working with children
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to routinely perform the following moderate physical activities; climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, have finger dexterity, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity
- Must possess and demonstrate a high level of maturity, patience, dependability, sound judgment; and the desire to work with all ages, especially children
- Must possess problem solving, organizational and task management skills; ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Must demonstrate a high level of maturity, patience, dependability, sound judgment and the desire to work with all ages, especially youth
- Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision
- Must be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
- Must work collaboratively as a team member as well as independently and lead by assigned goals, duties and deadlines
- Must present a neat and professional appearance at all times
Job Requirements:

- Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
- Complete CPR/AED and First Aid in accordance with Conditions of Employment
- Learn all emergency procedures and action plans for the branch as necessary
- Understand and abide-by all policies and procedures as set forth by the association
- Work a schedule that reflects the needs of the branch; including weekends and evenings
