Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Support the Controller with daily accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Generate financial statements and job cost reports
- Assist in onboarding new financial software and transitioning processes
- Liaise with external auditors, tax professionals, and service providers
- Perform office tasks including handling mail, emails, and phone communications
- Order and manage office supplies
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- High school diploma required
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Timberline software is preferred, but not required
- Construction industry experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
