Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process invoices monthly, including labor, material, and consumables
- Oversee incoming customer payments and manage occasional physical check processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and process monthly utility invoices
- Code invoices accurately and ensure timely approvals, following up with other departments as needed
- Process travel expense reports and 1099 timesheets
- Assist with AR processing and payment tracking
- Maintain high attention to detail in invoice management and financial data entry
- Support reconciliation processes and ensure accurate record-keeping
Accounting Specialist Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience required
- Proven experience processing invoices in a high-volume setting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent follow-up skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a quiet, heads-down team environment
- Strong team player who can navigate challenges like delayed approvals or cross-department coordination
