The Accounting Coordinator is a full-time position that is responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable Clerk with processing invoices and payments, helping the Payroll Specialist with bi-weekly payroll, preparing specific journal entries for monthly closing, issuing credit card refunds, and performing various data entry tasks. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the university.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk with processing invoices and payments.

* Complete PayPal and Braintree refunds.

* Assist university personnel with questions regarding budgets and payment requests.

* Assist with bi-weekly payroll and payroll entry; run payroll in the absence of the Payroll Specialist.

* Prepare specific journal entries for monthly closing and import entries from other departments.

* Perform data entry of general journal entries, requisitions, and petty cash.

* Post daily Student Account sessions.

Qualifications:

* High school graduate with an Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

* Strong mathematical skills.

* Good people skills.

* Ability to multi-task.

* Bookkeeping and/or general accounting knowledge.

* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

* Sustained focus and mental concentration.

Environment: Office setting within the university campus.

Hours: Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
