Job Summary:

The Office Equipment Technician will be responsible for the routine support and maintenance of office equipment, ensuring equipment is operational, well-maintained, and properly stocked.

This role involves basic equipment troubleshooting, inventory management, and coordination of equipment movements. The technician will also serve as the primary point of contact for equipment-related inquiries and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver basic contracted customer services such as copying, faxing, printing, and scanning.

Diagnose and resolve basic equipment issues.

Clean, maintain, and replace consumables or operator-accessible parts of office equipment.

Maintain inventory of supplies and track usage.

Ensure agreed-upon uptime for copier fleet and other office equipment.

Collect meter readings and submit them for billing purposes.

Manage the Move/Add/Change (MAC) of office equipment and assets, coordinating deliveries and removals.

Log and track customer jobs electronically.

Apply asset tags to office equipment and update related databases.

Process and distribute incoming and outgoing faxes, tracking for billing purposes.

Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds as required.

Skills and Competencies:

Basic knowledge of PC functions, including keyboard, mouse, and MS Word/Excel.

Ability to perform data entry, print, save, and format workbooks.

Proficient in sending and receiving emails, opening, and saving files.

Familiar with web browsing using Internet Explorer.

Able to perform basic math functions such as division, multiplication, and percentages.

Professional demeanor and maturity in customer service.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
