We are seeking a committed and passionate Housekeeping Supervisor with experience in a luxury hotel to lead and guide the team to be the best that they can be in accordance with the Belgrove Resort standards of quality. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to become part of a team that is always pushing to be the best and always raising the bar.

The Housekeeping Supervisor provides overall support to the operations of the housekeeping department. Some duties include:
  • Managing the housekeeping team: Assigning duties to room attendants, leading the team, and providing daily briefings
  • Inspecting rooms and public areas: Ensuring that all areas meet cleanliness standards and hotel policies
  • Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, & friendly manner.
  • Maintaining inventory: Monitoring cleaning supplies and equipment, and ordering supplies as needed
  • Maintaining a positive attitude: Encouraging a positive attitude among team members and guests, and treating them with respect
  • Train, motivate, coach, counsel, & discipline staff members.
  • Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program.
  • Update room statuses in the computer.
  • Following policies: Following OSHA regulations and all policies and procedures


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language
  • Previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel required
  • General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects
  • Must be flexible in hours and days worked
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
