Job Description
The Senior Director, End to End Supply Chain Transformation is responsible for the strategic leadership and business transformation of the end-to-end supply chain strategy & processes including integrated business planning, demand planning, supply planning, procurement, inventory optimization, production scheduling, logistics and fulfillment. This role is responsible to ensure alignment between strategy, systems architecture, business processes & governance. This is highly cross-functional role providing strategic alignment across sales, business units, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and finance teams as well as managing all crucial aspects of the supply chain processes. This key member of the leadership team will drive the development / implementation of business-focused supply chain initiatives throughout the organization including a new advanced supply chain planning system, as well as identify and implement global supply chain solutions that create sustainable competitive advantages in cost, cash, quality & service levels.
- Domain Expertise: Strong supply chain planning knowledge & expertise in implementing strategy and transformational Supply Chain projects including implementation of a new end-to-end supply chain planning system which includes allocation, scenario building, order scheduling, etc.
- Customer Focused: Partner with cross-functional teams to innovate and transform the business models and improved internal and external customer experiences.
- Passion and Urgency: Identify, prioritize, and execute on strategic growth initiatives in Supply Chain, by working cross functionally across BU, sales, manufacturing, procurement and logistics fulfillment.
- Initiative and Ownership: Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities. Quickly build HDD domain knowledge, credibility and long-term trusting relationships quickly at all levels.
- Highly Analytical: Experience decomposing and solving real world business problems, ideally building/using advanced analytics and emerging technologies.
- Natural Problem-solver: Solve the real operational problems impacting operating margin, be comfortable with data and ambiguity, and be able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on the overall strategy.
- Communications and Influence: Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations and effectively influence senior stakeholders.
- Execute Across Disciplines: Capability with analytics, technology, process and op model design – to create and implement holistic solutions working with IT and business partners.
- Keeping the Lights On: Have your fingertip on the pulse of the business to ensure it is operating as successfully as possible, stepping in to help drive improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- This individual will ideally have at least 10+ years of experience leading supply chain transformation, solving complex business problems, developing key metrics and executing successful projects in advanced supply chain planning, ERP or similar environments.
- Experience in advanced supply chain planning system implementation.
- Master’s degree in industrial engineering, certification from APICS and PMP is preferred.
- Strong experience in implementing and managing advanced planning systems for end-to-end supply chain including demand supply planning, allocation, scenario planning, factory scheduling and inventory management.
- Extensive experience in building business cases, measuring ROI, defining future state, creating budget & resource plans for execution and managing program execution.
- Strong people management experience having managed large diverse, distributed teams across different geo-locations and has demonstrated ability to grow and develop team members.
- Strong fiscal budgeting skills and experience with handling OpEx budgets and program budgets.
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholder relationships with executive leaders and peers.

- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
