Embraces flexibility, critical thinking, and excellence in customer service provision. Contact with students, faculty, staff, college management, community, and business vendors necessitates excellent communication and time-management skills. Assists with creating assignments for faculty in our student information system, requisitioning and purchasing, monitoring budgets, and report writing. Assists with marketing and promotion of library services. To best serve the students, division, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus. Essential Functions 35% Administrative office support: Administrative support for the instructional division and its programs and events; composes reports and correspondence; generates statistical reports; monitors budget activities; creates Purchase Orders (PO)s/Requisitions for electronic resources, coordinates with vendors for library subscriptions; performs Procard transactions; orders supplies for division. 35% Designs promotional materials for library events/classes, creates in-house displays, contributes to the library's social media presence, schedules and supports library classroom instruction and cultural events, coordinates paperwork tied to special events and instruction. 20% Provides customer service support at the library's Circulation/Reserves desk; assists with the ingestion and digitization of library archival material. 10% Completes additional special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of administrative office support or related experience providing a wide variety of secretarial, administrative office support and/or administrative coordination activities. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Experience working in a library or with library systems 2. Experience working in a college or university setting 3. Customer service experience 4. Experience working with diverse populations 5. Experience with relevant office computing systems; for example, MS Office, student enrollment, or other capital management systems 6. Experience with outreach or marketing efforts including social media.
