Overview

JOB SPECIFICS

  • OSF St Francis Medical Center is seeking an advanced practice provider to deliver palliative care to patients in our growing inpatient clinic. You will collaborate with 3 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, 3 Social Work Counselors and Pastroal Care team members
  • Responsibilities include assessing a variety of symptom management cases, promoting communication and collaboration of mulitpe disciplines for end-of-life care and providing passionate care for patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions.
  • Function autonomously and have demonstrated experience in disease management.
  • This inpatient position will consider FNP, AGPCNP or PA with or without acute care backgrounds.
  • Must be board certified and licensed to practice in Illinois.
  • Two-day shifts (8:00am – 4:30pm) per week, rotating weekend per month
  • Daily census betweend 6-8 patients

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $55.20-$70.09
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
  • License as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in occ health, primary care, urgent care or a related field is preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
