Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
in the state and 5th in the nation, Jessie Trice Community, Inc. is a Florida 501c3, not-for-profit organization that has been serving Miami-Dade County since 1967. We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and strategic goals. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and driving financial performance. This executive role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, excellent people skills and a deep understanding of FQHC finance, accounting practices, and regulatory compliance. Duties Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals. Oversee all financial reporting, including tax accounting, cost accounting, and revenue management. Manage treasury functions to ensure optimal cash flow and liquidity. Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Lead budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against budgets. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Collaborate with other executives to drive business growth and operational efficiency. Provide insights on financial trends and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors. Details of Education & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in a safety-net healthcare organization or hospital with multiple federal, state and local governmental funding streams, private insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Additional executive/senior management level experience may replace some of the educational requirements. Experience to include executive or senior manager level experience supervising other leaders. Experience with a FQHC or “FQHC look-a-like”. Must be technology savvy, especially using Excel spreadsheets and with computerized ledger systems; familiarity with SAGE 300 would be a plus. Proven experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of tax accounting, cost accounting, treasury management, and revenue management. Exceptional leadership skills with experience supervising finance teams. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information. Job Type:
