Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care for low-income, high at-risk youth. The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Programs is a true business partner to the Vice President of Mobile Crisis Outreach Programs in Los Angeles County and is responsible for assessing the performance of their programs against both the annual budget and the agency's long-term strategy. The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Programs is tasked with monitoring all clinical practices (including operations and personnel), risk management and regulatory requirements, within their respective areas. Sycamores is partnering with the County dispatch center and 988 mental health crisis hotline to provide support to people experiencing a mental health crisis. The 988 hotline will provide initial phone support to all callers and triage calls to the County who will dispatch the Sycamores Mobile Crisis Outreach teams for in-person support. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team will respond out to the community to provide timely support including crisis stabilization, safety planning, assessment for danger to self/others, and gravely disabled write 51/50 holds as needed and provide follow-up support. Close partnership with the County dispatch center, 988 call center, police, sheriff, psychiatric hospitals, and ambulance transport companies will be important in this role. This role will be critical in supporting the development and implementation of new unarmed crisis programming (i.e., Circle Program, etc.). The Assistant Vice President will be a part of the leadership team that oversees the Mobile Crisis Outreach Programs in Los Angeles County. This position will be involved in all areas of recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising employees, utilizing data, forecasting, planning, and organizing program structures and processes to ensure efficient operations and sound outcomes, and developing, monitoring, and evaluating revenue and expenses to ensure effective operations. This position will be called on to work collaboratively with other managers, leaders as well as outside stakeholders. The Assistant Vice President will be available for consultation during and following crisis calls, as needed, as well as to fill in when backup is needed in the field. Starting Pay Range: $115,000 - $125,000 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.) Shift Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Master’s or Doctoral degree in related field, LCSW or LMFT or LPCC or licensed psychologist. 2 years post license, registered with the CA Board of Board of Behavioral Sciences and/or CA Board of Psychology. Experience within Mobile Crisis Response Delivery System. 5 years of supervisory experience, 2+ years managerial experience. Maintains all required licenses and certifications. Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
