Note: this position will receive a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55% which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The effective date of the increase is January 1, 2025 for February 1, 2025 paychecks.

This position is Hybrid Remote Work. The duties of this position are performed remotely as well as at our central office in Salem. In addition, the ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. This position also requires occasional travel.

What we are looking for:
* As the Supervisor Executive Assistant, you will provide confidential, executive-level administrative support to the State Forester. This position may also provide executive level administrative support to other agency leaders. Duties include:
* Act on behalf of the State Forester and Deputy Directors when requested.
* Oversight of office operations to include personnel, budgeting, purchasing, office maintenance and space.
* Provide supervision and training to Executive Support Specialists.
* This position may provide confidential support to teams and workgroups led by the State Forester and the Deputy Directors.
* Serve as liaison to state agencies, public, employees, media, Governor's Office, and legislative members on governmental and department issues, policies, and rules, often serving as the first point of contact for incoming needs, issues, complaints, and opportunities.
* Prepare and/or edit agendas, meeting minutes, reports, presentation materials, correspondence and other documents for clarity, formatting, and conformance with department standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of staff-level experience providing administrative support to management. The experience must include technical or analytical duties in the management of program goals and objectives; performing program or project planning; preparing, monitoring, or controlling budgets; or performing research and providing analytical information and/or recommendations used in management decision making.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Public Administration or a closely-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience.
Note: Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.
