The ERP Manufacturing Analyst is a key member of the Operations and Information Technology teams with the responsibility of ensuring that manufacturing and supply chain processes are accurately and efficiently implemented in its ERP system. As the primary subject matter expert on manufacturing and supply chain processes, this position has a broad scope, ranging from ensuring that ERP data is correctly maintained, to troubleshooting errors or inconsistencies that arise in daily operation, to finding opportunities for business process and system improvement, to identifying key reporting requirements that will help Operations Management make better decisions. Given this responsibility and broad scope, strong systems thinking skills and flexibility are essential characteristics of the successful candidate.

The position reports directly to the Plant Manager located in McArthur, Ohio.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for ERP processes involving manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Position will liaise with the Corporate ERP Systems Manager
  • Implement configuration or parameter changes in the ERP environment using IT testing standards.
  • Lead the validation testing in system upgrades for critical operations and supply chain business processes and transactions.
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot on-site servers, laptops, VOIP phones, and network infrastructure and security.
  • Troubleshoot issues arising from daily processes such as production, procurement, inventory management and shipping.
  • Document manufacturing supply chain business and system processes
  • Provide technical support to office staff as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for Information Systems improvements and document functional implementation requirements for justification.
  • Develop policies and procedures concerning data entry and information sharing.
  • Researches, recommends and pilots applications and modules that meet the requirements defined by the manufacturing supply chain and finance teams.
  • Participates with Plant Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance and Information Technology Management to identify process requirements and strategy.
  • Oversee site SharePoint functionality and development.

Education and Experience

  • Technical Degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or IT is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years in ERP or manufacturing systems analyst role or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Proven experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Information Systems being applied in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.
  • Strong process documentation and project management skills.
  • Possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies is beneficial.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to drive process improvements (in a global environment is beneficial)
  • High energy, high ownership of work product, and commitment to driving results.
