DUTIES: Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering department. Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety. Provides direction, leadership and mentorship to engineering staff to meeting company goals and objectives. Oversees the technical design and engineering of projects, including the schedule, budget, and communication Evaluating and implementing strategies to improve productivity and lower costs Identify Manufacturing inefficiencies and improve overall OEE (reduce scrap, improve/optimize cycle time and headcount) Approving equipment upgrades and overseeing the installation and rearrangement of plant equipment Drives continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment. Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency. Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs. Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output. Develops and executes departmental goals and objectives, including the budget Develops a culture of high performance, teamwork, and excellent quality Coordinate and enhance team to team activity (Cross functionality). Supports Product Engineering with program launch status (APQP). Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries. Travel required less than 25% and will include unassisted occasional international travel. QUALIFICATIONS: BSME/MSME. Minimum of 5 years engineering management experience. 5-10 years Manufacturing Engineering experience. Tier One automotive experience. Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures. Experience in copper brazing, metal tube forming, welding and assembly Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. ERP experience preferably with PLEX.
