Job Description
Founded in June 2023, Crete Professionals Alliance (Crete PA) aims to drive growth across accounting and professional service firms in the United States. Our initial venture in August 2023 involved acquiring a majority interest in the non-attest assets of a top 300 US-based national firm, positioning us alongside the top 100 US accounting firms based on cumulative revenue. With over ten partner firms, several deals under LOI, and substantial committed capital, Crete PA is poised to shortly become equivalent to a top 40 firm in terms of aggregate revenue, with ambitions to expand into a multi-country platform. Supported by ZBS Partners, a firm managing over $500 million in assets, and led by co-founders experienced in developing multi-industry platforms, Crete PA partners with local firms to enhance their independence while boosting their revenue and profitability.
Our partner firm, RRBB based in Union, NJ is hiring!
Following its merger with RRBB, Mendonca & Partners CPAs now consists of five partners with 'Big Four' accounting experience, supported by a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in and prioritize your success. Our experienced industry teams are committed to provide a high-level of timely, effective and responsive service.
Our client base reveals a cross section of industries that include construction, restaurant, not-for-profit, governmental, legal, medical, international and a variety of other businesses including manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers, as well as high net-worth individuals. For each, regardless of size, we assemble a knowledgeable industry team that understands the needs of each client, adds value to the engagement and is able to resolve the most complicated tax or accounting issues effortlessly. Yet, the human touch, attention and partner involvement is second to none.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant
Analyze transactions and review reports
Review general ledger reconciliation and manage multiple clients
Participate in the Firm management processes
Brief partners regularly on the client’s financial status
Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Experience in performing audits, reviews, compilations, and supervising staff with respect to the completion of same
Being able to field questions from clients and proactively advise clients on changes in their tax situations
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
Support training and onboarding for new staff
Monitor staff activities daily and supervises staff
Requirements:
Bachelors in Accounting
Certified Public Account Certification (Preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CCH Axcess and QuickBooks
GAAP: 5+ Years (Preferred)
Excellent verbal & writing skills
Multi-lingual a plus (Portuguese, Italian and/or Spanish preferred based on demographics and client list).
Ability to meet strict deadlines, be reliable, organized, dedicated and effective as a team member
This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
