Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of litigation experience handling case files from inception through settlement. Connolly Krause is looking for an Associate Attorney with a demonstrated passion for courtroom advocacy. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases in a collaborative environment with experienced attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Current admission to the Illinois Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, including case handling and courtroom exposure.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn with a commitment to professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in civil litigation involving professional negligence and personal injury a plus.
• Familiarity with Federal Court.
