Middle East (GCC) Job Purpose: Responsible for identifying and onboarding new brands in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, driving growth, and expanding the company's brand portfolio. The role involves strategic planning, market analysis, partnership development, and overseeing the integration of new brands into the company's operations. This position requires extensive experience in business development, brand management, and the QSR industry. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Contribution:
Define and direct the implementation of the annual business plan and targets for new business development. Set the strategic agenda for identifying and integrating new brands into the QSR portfolio. Oversee market research and analysis to identify potential brand opportunities and trends within the QSR industry. Develop and execute long-term strategies for brand acquisition and integration, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Leadership:
Lead and motivate a cross-functional team to identify, negotiate, and integrate new brands. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring alignment with company vision and goals. Serve as a role model to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Budget:
Lead the preparation of the budget for new brand acquisitions and integrations. Monitor financial performance versus the budget, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Operational Integration:
Develop comprehensive plans for the seamless integration of new brands, including operational processes, marketing strategies, and staff training. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with company standards and goals. Manage relationships with external partners, including potential brand owners, to negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
Brand Development:
Oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies for new brands, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels. Ensure that new brands align with the company's overall brand identity and values. Monitor brand performance and customer feedback, making adjustments as necessary to maximize brand success.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards, and Reports:
Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Prepare accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Job Requirements: Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field. Masters or MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within the QSR industry within international geographies (USA, Europe, Asia, LATAM). Proven track record of identifying and integrating new brands within the QSR sector. Extensive knowledge of restaurant industry, specially of the QSR sector.
Skills:
Exceptional strategic planning and analytical skills. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities to effectively manage cross-functional teams. Proficient in negotiation, budgeting, and financial management. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and adapt to changing market conditions. Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
Job Context: The New Business Development Director will primarily be based in the company's headquarters and will need to travel when and as required to identify new opportunities and oversee brand integrations. NOTE:
