Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc
Senior Product Manager, Cloud New United States, Canada
Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc, Olympia, Washington, United States
We are a team of doers, seasoned engineers, hackers and builders, working on the future of streaming data.
Funded by premier investors including GV and Lightspeed, Redpanda is building the streaming data platform for developers. We’re evolving streaming beyond the Apache Kafka protocol into a unified “engine of record” that delivers a categorical reduction in complexity, wicked-fast performance, onboard Wasm transforms, and transparent tiered storage that gives consumers access to both real-time and historical data from a single API. About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to guide the evolution of our cloud service capabilities for the Redpanda data platform. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work with customers and study the market to gather data, drive the strategic roadmap for several of Redpanda’s cloud capabilities, and guide their inclusion into our Dedicated and BYOC cloud offerings. You will also help drive the technological vision in these areas, following the latest trends and advising the team on new technologies, standards, approaches, and potential partners in order to stay on the leading edge. This is an opportunity to work closely with product and engineering leadership and the respective teams at a fast-growing, well-funded startup, building and delivering category-leading products. This role requires deep comfort with enterprise data and infrastructure technology, working closely with customers often in high pressure situations, and collaborating cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced environment, juggling many tasks and responsibilities. You Will: Meet with customers, analyze the competitive landscape, and identify market opportunities to shape the company's product strategy in your areas of responsibility. Define requirements for new features through PRDs and prioritize them appropriately in the product roadmap. Some examples of major functional areas Cloud PMs work on include new cloud compute infrastructure, releasing storage engine features (Tiered Storage), security features (SSO/OIDC), and performance/multi-tenancy features such as resource quotas. You will also focus on delivering these capabilities end-to-end and often includes working with our design team to deliver the optimal UX through a mix of GUI, CLI, and API interfaces. Communicate new features internally and externally and help articulate the value proposition, messaging, and pricing. This involves training GTM teams, sharing roadmap and product pitches with customers, writing public blogs, and attending industry conferences. Collaborate with multiple internal teams (including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success) to ensure we ship the right features, at the right time, with the right user experience to match the expectations of various user personas inside our customer’s organizations. Own
delivery of features end-to-end, picking up tasks wherever needed, reviewing documentation, and creating the telemetry required to measure the success of feature launches after rollout. You Have: 4+ years of experience in
