Job Description
The Program Manager, Knowledge Management will have the principal responsibility to collect, manage and analyze data about partner institutions to help inform transformation efforts and the Institute for Capacity Building's (ICB) overall strategy. This individual will also monitor the progress and impact of transformation initiatives, using that information to seed future projects and investments, and to help narrate the promise of Black higher education at HBCUs. They will also work with the Director of Knowledge Management to secure funding to support building the data and decision-making capacities of HBCUs.
The successful candidate is a highly motivated self-starter. They can work autonomously and have the capacity to collaborate when necessary. The Program Manager, Knowledge Management should be detail-oriented, communicate effectively, and have a strong understanding of program management and evaluation.

We define resilience as the institution's ability to improve its operation today and future-proof them for tomorrow. ICB's engagement equips UNCF member institutions, and other HBCUs and PBIs, to provide high-quality educational experiences to their students and the broader Black community. ICB's work focuses on three areas critical to HBCU success: institutional effectiveness, academic competitiveness, and financial viability. Beyond our strategic advisory and project management support, ICB serves as an innovation hub for Black colleges, connecting institutions to funders, best practices, resources, and subject matter experts both within and outside of UNCF.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
5-7 years of relevant work experience is required
Minimum 5 years' experience in higher education, non-profit, or related field

This position reports to the Director of Knowledge Management and has the following key responsibilities:
- Oversee the collection, management, analysis and reporting of data shared between supported institutions and ICB to assess and prioritize institutional needs, inform ICB's institutional engagement, monitor initiative progress, and support development of data-informed HBCU storytelling.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies to improve the capacity, effectiveness, and viability of HBCUs.
- Collaborate with ICB leadership and respective verticals to shape ICB's strategic priorities and communications.
- Collaborate with the Frederick D. Patterson Research Institute (FDPRI) to provide research, program evaluation and thought leadership to highlight the impact and efficiency of ICB's transformation efforts, as well as areas for growth and new opportunities.
- Partner with the Director of Knowledge Management to develop or improve relevant initiatives, including codifying needs and solutions, engaging funding and strategy partners, and leading/facilitating implementation.
- Support the development of ICB's network engagement strategy by building connections with HBCUs and other higher education institutions, educational intermediaries, funders, community organizations, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
