About the role:

As a Manufacturing Tech, you will perform technical tasks that include but are not limited to system integration, laser alignment, system calibration, and troubleshooting of optical and electromechanical components in support capital equipment integration and shipment. In the role you will work cross functionally with engineering and operations team to ensure on time execution of production schedules to deliver quality systems to our end customer.

About You:

What you will do:

  • Integration of capital equipment, which includes executing calibration and test procedures per documented procedures.
  • Alignment and calibration of lasers and optical components
  • Assembly of electro/opto-mechanical components for use in capital equipment
  • Troubleshooting diagnosis and repair of electro/opto-mechanical components
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations team to provide feedback on system design and process to optimize for quality, reliability, manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects and actives focusing on efficiency and Lean methodology
  • Adhere to company Environment, Health, and Safety policies

What we are looking for:

  • Technical associate degree, military experience, or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of capital equipment experience – working with laser systems and optics is a plus
  • Quality minded individual with high attention to detail and schedule execution
  • Ability to understand and utilize ERP systems for job closures, BOM verifications, and material availability.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Engineering documents such as drawings, prints, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to understand direction and follow process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and improve processes
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
