Job Summary:
The Director of Sports Information will oversee all athletics communications including but not limited to; media relations, public relations and internal/external communications. This will include content dissemination and strategic development across all platforms; social media, digital, print, external news platforms and CSSSaints.com. They will oversee hiring and day-to-day operations of the athletics communications department, including student-employees, announcers, scorekeepers and statisticians during athletic competitions
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience in sports communications, journalism, marketing or similar. Familiarity with appropriate software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Word, Excel, etc.), Stat Crew software, SIDEARM, Final Cut Pro or equivalent video editing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with graphic design and all social media platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Creative and proficient with technology. Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to meet tight deadlines, delegate responsibilities and budget efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional critical listening and thinking skills. Previous experience with digital video streaming. Video editing and/or motion graphics software. Ability to respond to unanticipated situations and shift priorities at a moment's notice.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and disseminate all press releases that will enhance the visibility of the CSS Saints Brand
- Provide support for individual team communication needs
- Create and update all game programs
- Responsible for visualizing ideas and establish marketing, social media and production schedules to deliver successful, engaging content across multiple social media platforms
- Fill out season preview forms according to MIAC and other third-party organizations
- Provide other college departments with athletic images and information when needed
- Responsible for nominating, determining and publishing weekly Performers of the Week and MIAC Athletes of the Week
- Create and annually update online record books for every team
- Serve as primary media contact for athletic department
- Supervise work-study workers, statistical staff, photographers, announcers and other athletics communications staff on game days
- Responsible for assigning public address at all home contests & managing all table or press box workers for all home events
- Create, keep & archive department photographic and statistical record filing systems and video records
- Take individual headshots of every athlete annually
- Create and coordinate live web streaming of college athletics events
- Manage vendor or create video portal to broadcast live contests
- Create graphical elements to enhance webcasts
- Special Events Coordinator - Chair of Annual Athletics Hall of Fame and Saints Sports Awards Ceremonies
- Work with CSS Marketing and Communications/CSS Advancement departments to create publications include producing the various fundraising and marketing materials and develop strategies that raise brand awareness, increase fan and alumni engagement
- Maintain membership with College Sports Communicators (CSC) for annual postseason awards
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
