Ravenscroft School, an independent, co-educational day school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 1,250 students enrolled in grades PreK-12.

Specifically, the Sports Information Director:
- Represents Ravenscroft's comprehensive athletic programs across various channels and media outlets using institutional branding, voice and visual identity.
- Establishes and manages the school's overarching athletics social media strategy and primary athletics social media accounts.
- Creates and supplies content (graphic and copy), including social posts, hype reels, senior banners, website content, etc. Maintains a regular cadence of posts, including Game Day, post-competition results, senior night celebrations and other seasonal posts as needed.
- Supervises all athletics team social media presences, establishes protocols and expectations, provides consistent, branded content across all accounts for sharing and trains others (coaches) as needed.
- Assists in setting direction and strategy for Ravenscroft Athletics web presences, manages and maintains all athletics website content, including updating rosters, coaches' biographies and team information across various platforms.
- Supports the creation and production of athletics communications in all forms, including writing and editing promotional materials such as press releases, newsletters, programs, brochures, website and social media content.
- Responsible for taking and/or scheduling sports photography/videography for varsity sports, including action shots, "Media Days," sports awards (non-varsity and varsity), NLI signing days and seasonal team photos.
- Schedules, manages and coordinates Athletics streaming services for HUDL, YouTube and Vimeo.
- Gathers and compiles statistical information on student-athletes and coaches, promoting milestones and key success.
- Cultivates relationships with sports media and is the primary athletics media liaison, including game day attendance and press passes.
- Provides equitable representation of all teams and sports.
- College degree in sports management, sports communications, graphic design or a similar field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in sports information management; three to five years preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in sports journalism and oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing and working with press and media.
- Is a collaborative team player, a self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Possesses a service-oriented disposition and creates a welcoming environment.
- Ability to multitask, balance competing priorities, meet deadlines and resolve issues under pressure and intense time constraints.
- Extensive skills and experience with the tools and technology associated with creating and producing graphics, videos, and photography for various platforms, including websites and social media.
- Knowledge of the applications BoxOut Sports, Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Hudl, Livestream, and Finalsite (or other website CMS) is preferred.
- Ability to accept and manage an irregular work schedule, which includes evening hours, weekends and some holidays.
- Prior experience coaching an athletic team sport is a benefit.
