Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining processes.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of dimensions.
- Perform basic programming of CNC machines using software such as SolidWorks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Weld components as necessary, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Use hand tools effectively for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of milling machines and machining processes.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and coordinate measuring machines.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Ability to program CNC machines; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
- Skilled in welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
