Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and implementing sales activities for key strategic accounts. This includes supporting direct sales, managing sales representatives and distribution accounts, and driving business development for both new and existing customers. As the primary customer contact, you'll work to develop new business, maintain market share, resolve customer issues, and ensure satisfaction while achieving sales and profitability goals.

- Develop and refine market positioning through strong communication with customers.
- Create and implement sales strategies aligned with market conditions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to exceed expectations and achieve objectives.
- Address customer specifications, engineering issues, and project needs to secure design wins.
- Present technical product details to customers and prospects.
- Manage product delivery timelines, product change notifications, and phase-out approvals.
- Deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and align with company goals.
- Provide sales data and market insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities and assess constraints to enhance competitiveness.
- Coordinate with internal teams, distributors, and independent sales representatives.
- Follow up on issues, action items, and customer interactions.
- Attend sales meetings to align with strategies and provide updates on activities.
- Prepare monthly reports on sales forecasts, opportunities, and customer updates.
- Issue quotes for pricing, quantities, and availability, ensuring compliance with pricing policies.
- Report on customer interactions within 48 hours of visits to keep the team informed.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to drive sales growth and share insights.
- Conduct product and sales training sessions for employees, customers, and partners.
- Deliver presentations to promote product knowledge and drive adoption.
- Achieve sales targets and support design-in efforts through marketing initiatives.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Understanding or interest in electronic engineering and OEM products.
- Familiarity with sales techniques, international business, and project management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Fluency in Japanese (preferred, but not required).
- Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant sales experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for customer visits.
