Candidate Requirements
5+ years motion design experience designing and editing video creative materials on an agile team in a fast-paced reactive development environment. Must have the ability to juggle multiple projects and stay organized.
Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with design programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, Figma and Maya.
The Consumer Marketing Organization Brand Creative Lab is looking for an energetic Motion Designer / Animator to help with daily assistance on projects for our team. This position will directly support our studio directors, art directors, print designers and lead motion designer to help complete everything from short notice fire drill projects to video editing and culturally relevant social content in a fast-paced design agency style of brand studio.
We're looking for contributors to our growing team working on new ways to push the future and we are seeking a motion designer with proactive and reactive skills to assist with video asks. As a motion designer, you will play an important role in assisting our team with the production of compelling marketing materials while interfacing with some of the top product marketing managers at the company. You will also be interacting with cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and timely high-quality delivery of quick turn assets.
The Motion Designer / Animator creative role will contribute to planning, creating, refining, and delivering Consumer Brand marketing assets to support our public relations, retail, and marketing campaigns, events and seasonal needs.
The following provides details and scope of the project requirements:
Details
• Create consumer brand marketing and video and social assets focused - informative yet culturally relevant connections to our products/businesses.
• Create animated UI assets based on current Operating System builds and direction from executives, product marketing, retail, PR, creative directors, art directors, and producers.
• Create templates to streamline production processes and ensure product accuracy/ease of use for external animators using the templates.
• Create video content as well as 2-3-minute full scale videos from concept to completion for social channels/retail environments/internal events.
• Video formatting and compression for multiple platforms/video screen formats.
• After Effects is a requirement.
• Contribute to research and help locate music tracks from emerging artists.
• Brainstorm new ideas to match concepts and creative direction.
• Participate in creative asset reviews for design executions not originating from the Brand Creative Lab.
Candidate Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Brand Creative Lab Art Directors & Producers to assist with the production of marketing asset creation for video, print concept, marketing campaign, and internal communication assets.
• Take initial direction from Creative Director, Art Director, team designers and producers for short notice reactive design tasks and project reviews.
• Complete projects with little guidance after initial direction via organizational and time management skills.
• Contribute to the creative process by proactively involving yourself with all aspects of Lab creative asset development from brainstorming, concept expansion, sketching ideas, storyboarding, draft assets, review, and delivery of final print ready assets.
Candidate Requirements
5+ years motion design experience designing and editing video creative materials on an agile team in a fast-paced reactive development environment. Must have the ability to juggle multiple projects and stay organized.
A strong portfolio demonstrating experience creating compelling visual design, motion graphics, collaboration, 2D and 3D animation skills, and brand recognition. Candidate must have a strong understanding of animation principles, timing and storytelling. Knowledge of modern as well as traditional animation techniques.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with current pop-culture as well as familiarity with real world examples of culturally relevant news, art, and design.
Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with design programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, and Maya.
- Must be able to take direction and feedback.
- Excellent communication skills; can represent ideas and concepts effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and file management skills.
- Detailed oriented design skills with clear, concise, and specific follow through on all action items resulting from meetings and/or directions from the studio producers, creative directors, and art directors.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly come up to speed with new projects is an absolute must with the ability to not get flustered with short notice project completion requests.
- The ability to balance multiple projects with short deadlines is a must. Strong interpersonal communication and cross-team collaboration skills with the proven ability to work with, and build win-win relationships with creative teams (e.g. graphic and video production artists), technical people (e.g. developers), and producers alike. When conflicts occur, you provide quick examples to support questions without delaying project timelines.
- A high level of enthusiasm, ingenuity, self-motivation, resourcefulness and drive for results in a fast-paced competitive space. Must have a positive and team-oriented attitude as we all contribute to the quality of our work.
