Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Specialty: Computed Tomography
Job Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Midnight Shift - Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week (6pm-6:30am and 10pm-6:30am)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CT experience
License: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
Certifications: BLS

Job Description:
- Specialize in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients.
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and related duties.
- Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
- Review clinical data on requisition and perform appropriate examinations. Obtain additional information about the patient's medical history as necessary.
- Prepare procedure room and replenish stock such as linens and related supplies regularly.
- Analyze anatomical structures of the patient, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
- Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, including utilizing power injectors. Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if necessary.
- Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies as required. Ensure adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
- Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Perform imaging procedures demonstrating principles of radiation protection: utilize shielding of patients, select appropriate equipment settings to reduce dose, and apply ALARA techniques.
- Resolve any/all image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS, including viewing images and confirming series counts.
- Complete all study indexing in the Radiology Information System.
- Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologist before performing studies.
- Demonstrate consistent team member standards of excellence, including open communication, timely responses, a positive attitude, fostering innovation, and showing respect for diversity.
- Perform all documentation in the medical record and radiology information system to support clinical and billing functions.
- May work in a hospital with a fixed unit or in a mobile unit. Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment if proper precautions are not used.
- May occasionally lift and/or move equipment and/or patients in excess of 10 lbs.
